- Purpose and Scope
This Refund Policy sets out the terms and conditions governing cancellation requests, refund eligibility, refund processing timelines, non-refundable charges, and related customer obligations for all courses, training programs, workshops, recorded programs, live online sessions, hybrid learning offerings, offline classroom programs, mentorship services, bundled packages, assessments, certifications, and any other educational services made available through mcmcer.com (collectively, the Courses).
This policy is intended to ensure clarity, consistency, and transparency in the handling of all payment-related refund requests. It shall apply to every learner, applicant, participant, parent, guardian, sponsor, or any person making payment on behalf of a learner (collectively, the Learner), unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise.
By enrolling in any Course, submitting a registration form, paying any fee, or accessing course materials or services through mcmcer.com, the Learner acknowledges having read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Refund Policy in addition to the websiteâ„¢ Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, admissions terms, and any course-specific conditions communicated at the time of enrollment.
- General Principles
Refund requests shall be reviewed strictly in accordance with this policy. Refunds are not automatic and shall only be granted where the circumstances clearly fall within the eligibility criteria stated herein.
MCMCER reserves the right to distinguish between:
– administrative or registration charges;
– tuition or instructional fees;
– technology platform or software access charges;
– payment gateway or bank charges;
– taxes, statutory levies, and third-party charges; and
– the value of services already rendered or resources already made available.
Where any part of a Course has already been delivered, accessed, reserved, scheduled, downloaded, consumed, or otherwise utilized by the Learner, MCMCER may deduct the proportionate value of such services, together with any applicable administrative costs, before determining whether any refund is payable.
Â
- Definitions
For the purposes of this policy:
– Enrollment Date:Â means the date on which the Learner completes registration and the applicable fee, whether in full or in part, is received by MCMCER.
– Course Start Date: means the scheduled date on which the first live session, recorded access, classroom batch, orientation, mentoring session, or any substantive course delivery begins.
– Access: means the Learner has logged into the learning system, joined any session, received login credentials, downloaded material, viewed recorded content, joined a private group, received mentorship, taken a test, or otherwise used any paid feature.
-Cooling-Off Period:means any limited post-payment period, if expressly offered by MCMCER for a specific Course, during which a refund request may be considered subject to the conditions of that Course.
– Business Day :means any day other than a Sunday or officially recognized public holiday in the jurisdiction from which MCMCER processes payments.
- Nature of Educational Services
The Learner acknowledges that educational services involve immediate allocation of academic, administrative, technological, faculty, scheduling, support, and infrastructure resources upon enrollment. In many cases, Course seats are limited and a reserved seat may prevent MCMCER from offering the same seat to another prospective learner.
Accordingly, refunds may be restricted or declined once a seat has been confirmed, batch planning has occurred, access credentials have been issued, learning materials have been delivered, or the Course has commenced.
- Refund Eligibility Before Course Commencement
A refund request submitted before the Course Start Date may be considered under the following principles:
- If the request is submitted within 24 hours of payment and before any access has been provided or used, MCMCER may, at its sole discretion, approve a refund after deducting reasonable payment gateway, banking, processing, and administrative charges.
- If the request is submitted after 24 hours of payment but before the Course Start Date and before any access or service delivery has occurred, MCMCER may approve a partial refund subject to deduction of applicable registration, administrative, counseling, admission, and processing charges.
- If physical study material, printed kits, merchandise, books, software licenses, or any third-party resources have already been dispatched, activated, or procured for the Learner, the related cost shall be deducted from any approved refund.
- If the Learner has accepted a reserved seat in a limited-capacity batch, scholarship seat, mentorship slot, interview-based cohort, or instructor-led program, MCMCER may treat the seat-blocking and academic planning effort as a non-refundable commitment cost.
No refund shall be mandatory merely because the Course has not yet started. The decision shall depend on whether MCMCER has already incurred costs, committed resources, or granted any benefits connected with the enrollment.
Â
- Refund Eligibility After Course Commencement
Once the Course Start Date has passed, refunds shall ordinarily not be available.
Without limitation, no refund shall generally be granted in the following situations:
– the Learner has attended one or more live classes;
– the Learner has accessed recorded lessons or study materials;
– login credentials, learning management system access, community access, or software access has been issued;
– mentorship, doubt-solving, assessments, onboarding, or counseling has been provided;
– the Learner is unable to continue because of personal schedule conflicts, travel, employment, relocation, examinations, change of mind, change of preference, or lack of time;
– the Learner is dissatisfied with teaching style, course pace, or subjective expectations where the Course has been delivered substantially as described;
– the Learner fails to attend classes, complete assignments, appear for tests, or use the Course effectively.
Educational services are time-sensitive and capacity-based. Non-participation by the Learner after Course commencement shall not create a right to refund.
Â
- Recorded, Digital, and Downloadable Courses
All fees paid for recorded courses, self-paced programs, digital products, downloadable notes, templates, e-books, test banks, question sets, or any other instantly accessible digital content shall be strictly non-refundable once access is granted, download is enabled, or delivery is completed.
This rule applies because digital content can be consumed, copied, retained, or used immediately upon access and cannot be meaningfully returned.
- Live Cohorts, Workshops, and Classroom Programs
Â
For instructor-led live online cohorts, masterclasses, workshops, bootcamps, offline classes, or classroom-based programs, refund treatment shall depend on the stage of delivery:
– Before commencement, MCMCER may evaluate the request under Section 5.
– On or after commencement, fees shall ordinarily become non-refundable.
– If a Learner misses a session, such non-attendance shall not entitle the Learner to a refund, replacement session, compensation, or fee reversal unless otherwise committed in writing.
– Where rescheduling support, backup recordings, or transfer to another batch is offered as a goodwill measure, such accommodation shall remain discretionary and shall not create a precedent for future cases.
Â
- Instalment Plans and Partial Payments
Where a Course is purchased under an instalment plan, subscription structure, or part-payment arrangement, the following shall apply:
– approval into an instalment plan does not reduce the Learnerâ„¢s obligation to pay the full Course fee unless MCMCER expressly cancels the enrollment in writing;
– any initial booking amount, admission fee, token amount, or seat confirmation fee may be treated as non-refundable;
– if the Learner defaults on future instalments after gaining access to the Course, MCMCER may suspend access, withhold certificates, deny further services, or initiate recovery measures to the extent permitted by law and contract;
– discontinuation by the Learner after commencement shall not discharge outstanding fee obligations for the committed enrollment period, where such obligations were accepted at the time of registration.
- Non-Refundable Components
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, the following items shall be non-refundable:
– registration or application fees;
– admission confirmation charges;
– counseling or onboarding charges;
– convenience fees, payment gateway fees, transaction charges, currency conversion charges, and banking fees;
– taxes already deposited or legally non-recoverable;
– cost of books, printed material, shipment, kits, merchandise, software licenses, examination fees, certification fees, or third-party services already purchased or activated;
– discounts, scholarships, promotional benefits, coupons, or bundled-value adjustments already applied at the time of purchase.
Â
- Exceptional Circumstances
MCMCER may review refund requests on compassionate or exceptional grounds, including serious medical incapacity, death of the enrolled Learner, or other extraordinary situations supported by reliable documentary evidence. Such review shall remain entirely discretionary and shall not obligate MCMCER to grant a full or partial refund.
In such cases, MCMCER may, instead of issuing a monetary refund, offer one or more of the following remedies if considered commercially and academically appropriate:
– deferred admission to a later batch;
– limited course credit or wallet credit;
– transfer to another equivalent Course;
– temporary access hold; or
– partial refund after deduction of charges and value of services already rendered.
Submission of supporting documents does not guarantee approval. Fraudulent, misleading, altered, or unverifiable claims shall be rejected.
Â
- Course Cancellation by MCMCER
If MCMCER cancels a Course before commencement for reasons solely attributable to MCMCER, and the Learner does not accept any reasonable alternative such as batch transfer, deferral, substitute faculty arrangement, equivalent course access, or schedule modification, MCMCER may not issue any refund of the net tuition amount actually received for the undelivered portion of the Course. However, MCMCER shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including travel costs, accommodation costs, loss of opportunity, device expenses, internet charges, or any other incidental costs allegedly incurred by the Learner.
- Technical Issues
A refund shall not be granted solely because the Learner experiences temporary technical issues arising from the Learner’s own device, browser, internet connection, software environment, power disruption, or inability to use commonly required third-party tools.
Where a genuine platform-side technical failure attributable to MCMCER materially prevents access for a substantial duration and no reasonable remediation is provided, MCMCER may evaluate an appropriate remedy, which may include extended access, replacement sessions, credit, or partial refund, depending on the facts.
Â
- Misconduct and Policy Violations
No refund shall be payable where suspension, removal, denial of access, or termination results from the Learner’s misconduct, academic dishonesty, harassment, disruptive behavior, misuse of platform resources, unauthorized sharing of content, violation of intellectual property rights, impersonation, payment fraud, or breach of any applicable terms or policies.
In such cases, MCMCER reserves all legal and contractual rights, including the right to withhold access, certificate issuance, and future enrollment privileges.
Â
- Transfer, Deferral, and Credit in Lieu of Refund
In suitable cases, MCMCER may, entirely at its discretion, permit:
– transfer of enrollment to another batch of the same Course;
– transfer to another Course of equivalent or adjusted value;
– one-time deferral to a future intake;
– issuance of a time-bound credit note or wallet credit.
Any such accommodation may be subject to seat availability, revised fee structures, validity periods, administrative charges, updated curriculum, or other conditions imposed by MCMCER. Grant of a transfer or deferral shall not be construed as recognition of a legal entitlement to refund.
Â
- Refund Request Procedure
To request a refund, the Learner must submit a written request through the official support channel designated by MCMCER, or by using the contact details published on mcmcer.com.
The refund request should include, at a minimum:
– full name of the Learner;
– registered email address and phone number;
– Course name and batch details;
– date of payment and amount paid;
– transaction reference number or receipt;
– precise reason for the request; and
– supporting documents, if claiming exceptional circumstances.
Verbal requests, informal chat messages, or social media messages may not be treated as valid refund applications unless formally acknowledged by MCMCER.
Â
 17. Review and Decision Timeline
Refund requests shall typically be reviewed within 7 to 15 Business Days from the date on which all required information and supporting documents are received. Complex or disputed cases may take longer.
MCMCER may seek additional clarification before taking a final decision. Delay by the Learner in providing required documents or responding to queries may extend the review timeline.
The decision communicated by MCMCER after review of the applicable facts, enrollment records, access logs, attendance records, and supporting documentation shall be treated as final, subject only to any rights available under applicable law.
Â
- Mode and Timeline of Refund Payment
Where a refund is approved:
– the refund shall ordinarily be processed to the original payment source where feasible;
– if refund to the original source is not possible, MCMCER may require additional identity or banking verification before remitting the amount by any lawful alternative mode;
– banking networks, card issuers, payment gateways, and financial institutions may take additional time beyond MCMCER’s internal processing timeline to credit the amount.
Indicative credit timelines after approval may range from 7 to 21 Business Days, subject to the payment channel used and the policies of third-party financial intermediaries.
Â
- Deductions and Set-Off
MCMCER reserves the right to deduct from any refundable amount:
– administrative and processing fees;
– value of classes attended or content accessed;
– cost of materials, licenses, kits, shipping, examinations, certifications, or third-party services already availed or committed;
– promotional benefits or discounts that were conditional upon continued enrollment;
– any outstanding dues payable by the Learner.
Where the Learner has unpaid amounts outstanding, MCMCER may set off any approved refund against such dues before releasing any balance.
Â
- Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Learners are expected to first approach MCMCER through the prescribed internal support and grievance process before initiating a chargeback, payment dispute, or reversal request with a bank, card issuer, wallet provider, or payment intermediary.
If a chargeback or payment dispute is initiated without legitimate basis despite valid enrollment and service delivery, MCMCER reserves the right to submit attendance records, access logs, communications, invoices, and policy records to contest the dispute and to suspend access to all services during pendency of the claim.
Â
- Consumer Protection and Mandatory Law
Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to exclude or limit any non-waivable rights that may be available to a Learner under applicable consumer protection laws or other mandatory legal provisions. To the extent any part of this policy is inconsistent with mandatory law, the relevant legal requirement shall prevail only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.
Â
- Amendments to This Policy
MCMCER reserves the right to amend, revise, update, or replace this Refund Policy at any time in order to reflect changes in legal requirements, operational processes, course structures, commercial terms, or platform functionality.
Any revised version may be published on mcmcer.com and may apply prospectively from the effective date stated therein. Refund claims shall ordinarily be assessed under the version of the policy in force on the date of enrollment, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
Â
- Contact and Grievance Redressal
All refund-related queries, representations, and grievance submissions should be directed through the official contact mechanisms published on mcmcer.com. The Learner should retain payment acknowledgements, invoice copies, and all official communication for record purposes.
For faster processing, all correspondence should be sent from the registered email address used at the time of enrollment, with the relevant Course and transaction details clearly stated.
Â
- Recommended Website Notice
The following short-form notice may also be displayed at the point of payment or enrollment:
> By proceeding with payment, the Learner acknowledges and agrees that course fees, booking amounts, access fees, and charges may be wholly or partially non-refundable in accordance with the Refund Policy published on mcmcer.com.
Â
- Internal Implementation Note
Before publishing this policy, MCMCER should align the document with its actual operating practices, course delivery model, jurisdiction, support email, cancellation windows, batch-transfer rules, consumer law obligations, and payment processor terms. Any course-specific exception should be stated clearly on the relevant sales or checkout page to reduce future disputes.
