Bridging Governance Principles & Practice
Corporate governance is no longer confined to boardrooms and compliance functions. As businesses face greater scrutiny from investors, regulators, employees, customers and other stakeholders, effective governance increasingly depends on the ability to connect board oversight, leadership behaviour, risk, ethics, technology, sustainability and stakeholder expectations.
Yet there remains a gap between governance principles and governance in practice — particularly when leaders must interpret complex information, challenge decisions, respond to crises, manage emerging risks and exercise sound judgement.
This is where MCMCER comes in. The Certificate Course on Corporate Governance moves beyond frameworks and compliance to examine how governance works in real organisations, how decisions are made at the board level, and how governance is tested when businesses face risk, disruption, fraud and stakeholder pressure.
The Course Explores Governance Through Three Lenses
A structured approach that builds from foundational understanding to applied boardroom practice.
01 — Master Companies Act, SEBI & IRDA Governance Frameworks
Understanding the purpose, evolution and application of corporate governance principles, frameworks and regulatory requirements — from the Companies Act to SEBI, RBI & IRDA.
02 — Develop Board-Level Judgement & Professional Scepticism
Examining the role of integrity, professional scepticism, board culture, accountability and stakeholder perspectives in shaping governance outcomes.
03 — Apply Governance to ESG, AI, Cyber & Crisis Scenarios
Applying governance concepts to real-world challenges involving board effectiveness, fraud, ethics, ESG, cybersecurity, AI, sustainability and corporate crises.
